Who We Support

Urban Carers provides supported accommodation for adults aged 18+ who are able to live independently with low-level, non-regulated, housing-related support.

Cerebral palsy are lifelong conditions that affect movement and co-ordination, caused by a problem with the brain that occurs before, during or after birth.

Who We Support

Urban Carers supports adults aged 18 and over who require a stable living environment alongside structured, housing-related support. We work with individuals who are able to manage their own personal care and engage with support on a voluntary basis.

Typical Referral Profiles

  • Care-experienced adults aged 18+
  • Unaccompanied asylum-seeking young adults (18+)
  • Adults requiring supported accommodation as part of a planned move-on
  • Adults requiring low-level housing-related support

Suitability Criteria

  • Aged 18 or over
  • Able to live independently within shared accommodation
  • Does not require personal, medical or therapeutic care
  • Willing to engage with housing-related support

Who We Are Not Able to Support

  • Anyone under the age of 18
  • Individuals requiring personal or intimate care
  • Individuals requiring medical, nursing or clinical support
  • Individuals requiring therapy or counselling
  • Individuals whose needs exceed non-regulated provision

Urban Carers accepts referrals from local authorities and approved partner organisations only.

All referrals are assessed for suitability prior to acceptance.
